I am a mom who has custody of my daughter. Due to a change in job, I travel alot. I decided to leave my daughter w/ her dad, my ex boyfriend. I have recently received papers stating that my ex boyfriend wants custody of her now because she has been in his care. What can I do to fight this?

What is in the best intrest of the child??? Can you work out some sort of schedule that can coinside w your work ? Is any of this in writing(legally?) What state r u in? Try Mediation instead of court..is he paying support ? are you?? In Texas all these questions are important and they should all be yeses on your part ..this has been my experience...also in Texas the written word rules!!! No heresay.
