| Please help me on this: I have a 2 yr old daughter from a short term relationship I am married now. The father of my daughter has never seen his daughter he knows I have her and knows it is his. My child is 2ys old now Can he come forward now and try to claim any rights to her? Or is there a time limit on this . Me and my husband have talked about him adopting her would we have to notify the father? |

| Unless the father relinquishes her parental rights (legally) he is entitled to come forward to apply for legal visitation of her. You must contact him and ask him to reqlinquish his rights and allow your new husband to adopt her. Good Luck...it may be difficult road ahead for you...be strong and remain positive. |
