Different Lawyer

The lawyer that was supposed to represent me, didn't do a 1/2 way job.. On appealing custody with a good lawyer are my chances of changing custody back to me be very good??? Trying for appeal, or new trial if not able to appeal it..What are the odds in your opinion??? Need advice on what all I need to do for solid case to get my children back with me...Can't stand it without my children..

My response:

Your questions are impossible to answer from Cyberspace. We'd need to read the entire trial court transcript to determine what errors of law were made by the trial judge, and what happened at the first appellate level. Then, we'd need to know your State's laws, and Court Rules, and Rules of Appellate Procedure. Then, we'd need to know your grounds for an appeal, and whether those grounds are legally viable.
