| I am in a bad marriage and want out but I fear that I will be forced to send my son on visits with his father. His father is an alcoholic and comes from a family of drug users & dealers. I work a part time job that allows me to take my son with me every day rather than send him to a day care. This job does not however pay enough to make all the bills. I also know that I could not afford to pay a lawyer & I am sure that my husband's family would pay for his. I want to get out of a bad situation but fear that leaving will only make things worse for my son. I would greatly appreciate any advice. |

| Look into Legal Aid in your area. Most places have it. If not, look into getting a lawyer that will take payments, or give you a discount. There ARE some kind hearted lawyers out there. And get in for a counciltation right away. You'll feel better when you know the all the legal facts, BEFORE you make a move. Knowledge is power. Get powerful NOW. Then you can make a decision and a plan. Good luck! |
