| I, and my hopefully soon to be Ex are in Ohio. I just escaped a very abusive 6 year marrige. We have no children together and i just want to make a clean break and put the past behind me. I want nothing from him, and took nothing with me when i left. I desperately want a divorce as soon as possible but don't know how to go about it without revealing my location to him. It's imperative that he has no idea where i am. I dont know what to do... What are my options here? |

| The laws of many jurisdictions permit you to substitute the address of your attorney for your address on the Dissolution of Marriage Petition if you fear harrassment. In other words, it IS possible to get a divorce WITHOUT revealing your whereabouts. Just inform your attorney that you would like to substitute the attorney's address for your actual physical address. Hope that helps...good luck! |
