My wife and I have gone to counseling for 5 months and are not able to save our marriage. It is my wish to get a divorce, which she would not fight. We would both like to move through this as quick as possible. In NY, is there a mandatory waiting period? There are no kids or property involved. Are there any penalties for divorcing under the grounds of adultery?

According to what I could find at the website listed above, NY doesnt have a no fault divorce... they do issue divorces on the grounds of adultery.. and from what I have read it takes a year to two to get it all finalized. Hope this helps you out some.
