| I am simply appalled that unmarried men in this country have no legal rights when a DNA test proves they are not the biological father and their name is on the BC and they have been paying non-court ordered child support. Something needs to be done to change the laws. I am sure there are a lot of single men out there that have been through the same thing. You become emotionally attached to the child and then find out he isn't yours and you can't do anything legally to the mother. My son is going through this now and he is devasted. Every lawyer he has talked to has told him that he doesn't have a case because he wasn't married and he is not the legal father. If anyone out there knows any legal recourse, please let us all know. Thanks. |

| Is she not letting him see the child? What's really wrong with people? Are their lives so out-of-control that they must find a way to hurt? I'm sorry for your son....Men DO love their kids... OTOH, if she pushed the issue, because the child knows your son as daddy, he could be in for a surprise. Things are changing, but there are many men jailed in our "debtors prison" system, for not paying support when the fact that the child is NOT his is evident. |
