My expenses are basic (rent, auto, utilities and food). The problem is, my ex wants more child support and there is no money left at the end of the paycheck. Besides the usual (social sec, medical,) are there any other deductions that I can use to lower the net income amt that goes on the financial affidavit ? How can I persuade the judge that the cost of basic necessities and my cuurent support amt are all I can afford ?

You read the CS guidelines for your state. When you are served for an increase then fill in the financial affidavit. When in court, just explain your circumstances.. Generally, a judge will not order you to pay what you do not have.. unless they believe you can earn more if you wanted to.. ie, you have an engineering degree and you are earning 8/hr flipping burgers..
