Question

IN 1996 my wife pass away. we have two son's. my oldist went to ca for colleage. my youngist stayed with me. in feb 99 i remarried. my youngist son decicied he wanted to live with my late wife sister.which is his aunt. his aunt ask me to sign gurdianship papers . i did but really didnt want to. she told me not to worry. she only needed them for taking my son to a doctor and putting him in school.well my son will be 16 on 10-22 and he ask if he could move back with me. i said yes. well his aunt told my son to spend a weekend with me so he would be sure if he wanted to move back.well when the weekend came for me to pick my son up, she hide him out.left a message for me that they would be out of town.i ask where my son was they said at a baby setter, i ask for the baby setter phone number they said they didnt know.well i finally contacted the aunt she said he can come over next weekend for a 3 day weekend. well when i picked son up she imformed me to have him back by five pm the next day. she told my son if he decieds he wants to move back that she would help him pack on her day off, which would be tuesady or wesnday. well my son told her he wants to come back. so i called and ask her when i could move him in with me. she said thier still dicussing it. later son called me to tell me he cant come over this weekend cause his aunt said they have plans. i ask my son if he still wants to move back . he said yes.well he is soon to be 16 i think he has the right to live where he wants. the aunt wont let me call him or go and see him sinse she found out he wants to move back. im in arkansas and i dont know what the law is concering gurdianships but i sure didnt think it would take away my rights.when my son went to live with his aunt she was renting a 4 bedroom house. now she's moved on her mothers property in a run down traler with no running water, or septic, and rotten floors, thats what my son told me. well i dont want my son living in those conditions. dont know what i can do. i tryed to get the police to follow me to her house to take my son back, but they could not because of the gurdianships. i need to know does she have that much power?and do i have to get gurdinship revoked to get my son back? please if someone knows any helpful info let me know. my son done lost his mother thruogh her passing. he doesnt need to lose me. lord knows i would not had signed if i knew it would take away my rights. he dont need to lose his father. but aunt is making him so please help. thankyou.

I'm sorry that i can't offer you any LEGAL help but i did want to ask whoever answers this post, IAAL or LegalBeagle, what is the difference between power of attorney(custody by madate) and guardianship? I'm a little stumped by it. Call me "ignorant"!!
Also, if you are the one who appeared before an attorney to have the guardianship drawn up, you should be able to reappear before the attorney and have it revoked!! Please don't crucify me if that was invalid or as you would say *wrong*.
