My ex and I divorced three years ago in the state of Georgia. Since that time he has done everything he can legally to get back at me, I am assuming because the court is making him pay child support for our one child. He has turned me into DEFACS twice, first time after he found out I was dating, the second when he found out I was getting married. I was cleared of all charges and the case worker actually asked me if I wanted her to talk to my ex and inform him that "he needs to find another venue of retaliation other than an government agency". A letter supposedly from DEFACS was sent to my workplace with a copy of a magazine subscrition entitled "Why I hurt my child". My attorney sent him a warning letter indicating documented harrassment and that he would be in contempt if continued. Well...in February I payed off the mortage on our home that I was awarded, and upon sale the proceeds would be divided. During March he phoned the mortgage company, got the account balance which showed payed in full, called back one hour later and had the address changed. So therefore he now holds the deed to my home, and refuses to give it to me, he said when I sold the home to call me. Legally he can do this since his name was on the original loan, but HOW MUCH MORE UNDUE HARRASSMENT DO I HAVE TO ACCEPT. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HE DID JUST OUT OF SPITE, WITHOUT REGARDS TO OUR SON.
