What state are you in?
I would suggest you contact the atty general child support enforcement office in your state, have them start the proceedings for the paternity test, (assuming his name is not on birth certificate) and get the court order in place for support, custody and visitation. Right now, if his name is not on the birth certificate he has no legal rights to speak of. That doesnt mean you can leave the state without notifying him though, because then he could petition for the paternity test and show that youwere trying to prevent him from exercising his parental rights.
