| dear help line i need to ask two questions that i need answers to quickly, i cannot find a category for my son (age 9) who has ADHD and here are the two questions: he was diagnosed 2 years ago with adhd by a psychologist. 1. i want to know if he is eligible for state disability 2. he is being harrased alot at school by the principal and what can we do thank you mike |

| My child also has ADHD for 6 years now. I am so sorry to hear about the trouble the child is going through at school! The only advise I can offer is to call your board of education about the principle. As far as disibility, I think it depends on what state you live in, but here in Ga., it doesn't cover ADHD children unless there is a greater disibility with it, such as a severe mental or physical handicap. |

| I too am sorry about the problems with your sons school. Yes ADHD is a disorder, but I don't beleive it qualifies for having disability. As far as the school principal, that is unethical and inappropriate; you will need to take that situation to a higher authority and get that dealt with asap. Before any further problems incur.
