How do to find out if custody filing has occured

My sister has not been issued any custody proceeding notification by exboyfriend. He claims to has retained a lawyer. Is there someway she can call from Pennsylvania to Lorain Ohio to check if she has been formally charged with kidnapping and/or whether custody proceedings have begun?

Call the clerk of the court at the local courthouse in the county that her ex is in, and ask if any filing have taken place in his name.

In the mean time, she needs to gather a much proof as she can and start getting her case together.
