Red face

The person i am with has been legally seperated for 9 years. His spouse has since left NYS and is nowhere to be found. The divorce papers were not signed by her years ago because she contested it until a bankrupcy was completed. The bankrupcy has been done and now he wants to divorce her but can't find her to get her signature. What happens now? Can a judge still grant the divorce as long as all the original terms have been met even if she's not present or does not sign the original papers from 9 years ago? We think she has gone out of state and gotten a divorce on her own without his signature because so much time has past and she never came back to NY to finalize their original agreement. How can we find out if she divorced him without his knowledge? We have no idea of her new address, only that she is using her maiden name. All the address leads we received from US Search did not work out, the only thing we found out is her Illinois state drivers licence is under her maiden name. What advice on investigating this can you give me? We are desperate and the unfairness of how she left him hanging is absurd. Please help!!!!!!!! E-mail me at WILDFLOWER325@aol.com. Thnak You
