How do I complain about my attorney?

I would like to know if anyone knows how to file a complaint regarding an attorney. The attorney representing me was unaware of a statute that would have significantly reduced my child support payment as my ex slammed me with over $12,000 worth of 'extraordinary medical expenses'and a petition for child support all in the same day. My family is on public aid trying to pay the debts and child support payments. This is the major gripe I have about this attorney, there is more that has to do with her not returning my phone calls, responding to my correspondence, and basically telling me to just go along with whatever my ex's attorney said. I do not feel my best interests have been served in any way. Please respond so that I can possibly forewarn another person before they seek to retain this individual and basically get ripped off. I live in Illinois.

we have had the same problem with our attorney. She is our atty. yet we get more information from my husbands ex-wifes atty. You can contact the IL state bar, they have forms you can fill out. we are also from IL and that is what another atty. suggested to us. good luck
