My husband is terminally ill and he has custody of his three kids from before we met. We also have a daughter together. I have been desprately searching for any information I can find on what my rights are as the childrens stepmom for the last six years. As it sets right now, if anything happens to my husband I will lose my kids too. At 7, 9, and almost 11, they don't want to go live with their mom and have told me that they will run away first. These kids have been such an important part of my life for so long I'll do anything to keep them with me. What can I do?
