| Just received my daughter's statement of yearly income from SSA that I had filed for (I'm in Florida, CP does not share info with me, NCP re. 8 yr. olds acting career despite shared custody) Statement showed 1999 reported 15,000+, no income from previous years... the child's been working since she was three, is there a threshold to reach before SSA is given numbers to report? I know from my own SSA statements that in early life when I made little money, it still showed what income there was. Are these figures taken directly from tax returns or from W2/1099 info? Can it be that no tax returns for the child were filed prior to '99 and can I use that as ammo in my battle to keep the kid from moving to NY? |

|
Originally posted by jyoung ". . . can I use that as ammo in my battle to keep the kid from moving to NY?"
My response: No. That's a problem between the parent and the taxing authority, having no bearing whatsoever on parenting skills. IAAL |
