Can I make my sister a legal guadian of my child along with me. When I work my sister takes care of her so she is at her house more than our own house. I dont know where my daughters father is and I havent seen him in 9 yrs. I just want to make sure if something happens to me she is well taken care of.
Thank you.

I'm not sure about this, but I believe if it has been that long since he has seen you daughter, then you can file abandonment charges. This would strip him of his parental rights. You can have a will drawn up stating if something happened to you, your sister would be given gardianship of your daughter. I believe this would take care of it. An attorney could give you further advice on this matter. Either way you will need an attorney to take care of these matters.

Good Luck and God Bless.
