We live in Washington State and my husband and I provide Medical and Dental coverage for his daughter who lives with her mother. The mother does not carry any Medical or Dental coverage for their daughter. The mother expects us to pay 50% of the Medical bills incurred by the daughter, however she is not utilizing the Medical insurance that we provide. Are we obligated to pay the 50% of Medical even though she is not using the Insurance that we pay for?
