| Thanks help 4 u, been there and done that what exactly are the Commanding officer or 1st Sgt suppose to do. The first time i contacted them they gave him leave and told him to come back state side and resolve the matter which he came state side only to do nothing when I adviced them that he had not taken care of issue there was noresponse well that was mwhen he was in SanJuan he is state sid now wo hopefully this will make things much easier my son is now 4yrs old still no support from this dead beat it just kills me to see that here we have this man who is employed and still not willing to tae care of his responsibilities it is sad...If anyone can give me anymore insight on this please do this is an urgent matter that needs attention, I feel that there should be something that i could do i have been dealing with the State for 2yrs now with no avail I guess they don't care because they are not assisting me in anyway my current husband is, so i guess if i collect a CHECK from them then they may feel that this matter warrants attention (no offense to those who need the help of the state) this is strictly how I see them... | i too am aware of the frustration that can be gained from a "dead beat parent". i am owed over $42,800 dollars in back child support. i never receive any monies from the state in live in (even though they are supposed to collect and have had paperwork to do so for 17 years). i still believe that military members are held to a higher responsibility when it comes to this than that of straight civilians. dont give up on the "system", keep trying. it sounds like you may just have to raise your child the best way you can and not depend on child support as a source of income.if you do get something, then consider yourself lucky. i never have. if i ever get anything it may help pay for college good luck. |

| Thansk, both of you I really appreciate it. Help 4 u I am not looking to collect support because I am in need but simply because i feel that if you play a part in creating another life you should take care of that responsibility. Some may look at this and think that I am weird but you know what I know this is the right thing to do. My worst fear is to have my son ask me when he is 8-9-or 10 why i didnt try to find his dad and then he will only resent me for that, I say this because as a child myself I did not know my father, I resented my mom for many years because she did not even try I want to be able to look my son in his eyes and say that i honestly tried. Thats just the way i feel adout this situation I made the choice to bring this life into the world and i am going to do my best. Loca, he is in the navy stationed out of Norfolk the sad part is that we were never married, but its ok... I have his duty station address and number but thats to the PSD and the seem not to know exactly where he works on the base... so tell me what do i need to do? Please help loca ask your husband if he can help with navy? |
