| Florida statute chapter 743.08 was described to me as Florida's "Coogan Law" i.e. protecting child actors rights. I've read it but not being a lawyer am rightfully confused. Can anyone tell me if this statute offers protection or rights to a NCP who is not being given information re. his childs "work"... The CP is taking a cut as her "manager fee", but not telling me how much the kid's making nor the disposition of the balance of her earnings from several TV commercials and numerous modeling jobs. I was told that this would be considered shared property by a Florida court, we have joint shared custody. |
