had my ex served a motion of contempt re. visitation as she's planning a move out of state. 8 yr. old was present when sheriff
knocked so mom's pissed I didn't warn her it
was coming. (previous services were hindered
a few years back when she and her parents wouldn't roll down the car window for the
sheriff) I know the kid's upset but mom won't let me speak to her on the phone and
canceled planned visitation this weekend.
I'm in Florida, joint custody, she's the custodial parent. She is not helping the
kid in this situation and I'm concerned. Question is do I add this to my motion before
the hearing date 11/1 or just document and present it then? If the latter, what's best
way to present it?

If possible have the officer write a depo for you to take to court. Ask for Custody, and let the X move all she wants. She is in contemt for not adhering to a court ordered vsitation schedule.

I would also seek an attorney to get what you want. If you get custody in the end, it will be worth it to be in debt to this person to have your child.
