| My husband has been incarcerated for almost nine years and I have waited faithfully, raising our two children alone, waiting to be a family once again. Recently he informed me that he had fallen in love with a female guard and intended to marry her. My question is, do I have any recourse? Can I sue the dept of corrections or the state over this? It seems that someone must be responsible for the actions of prison guards, while that guard is actually guarding the prisoners. Is this punishmnent for his crimes, or rehabilitation? |

| Some states allow for alination of affection suits. Most attorney's do not charge for a consoltation. I would contact several attorneys in your area and give them the lo down on this, and see what they have to say. IAAL gave some advice on this subject a few pages back. He will need to know the state you live in, before he will offer any advice. Always Searching has a good point. Any man would be lucky to have you......a woman who would wait 9 years for her man.....you are remarkable, and he will realize his lose, but probably not till its too late. Good Luck and God Bless. |
