| Daughter received interrogitories to be answered by January 1st from her ex's lawyer. She doesn't have a lawyer at present (remember her's said she was afraid of his). She sent these regular mail. Do we have to answer these? Of course it threatened sanctions but I thought it had to be certified. |

| My response: As long as there's a "Proof of Service" form attached to the interrogatories, then you have to answer them. Make sure you know what objections to use. It would do you well to go to a law library and read the Statute concerning interrogatories, and also ask the librarian if there are standardized objections that are available. Remember, you don't want to throw away the baby with the bath water. IAAL |
