My friend who has two children from a previous marriage and resides in the state of Oregon she took her two boys to their fathers house for Thanksgiving as per the divorce agreement. She has full custody of both of them. When she went to pick them up at their father's house the youngest one that is 10 years old refused to come out of the house. His father said that he wanted to stay and live with him. The father has promised the world to the child if he would live with him. We are talking about a guy who won't let his sons go to allstars in baseball in the summer time because it interferes with his visitation rights. She then called the police and they came and would not do anything. They told her that she would have to contact her lawyer. They didn't even file a report. She had to leave her son there and drive 300 miles back home with only one son. Her lawyer hasn't done anything to help, he said that he doesn't want to file the wrong form, because the ex-husband is no idiot and has been representing himself during all of the court hearings in the past and he will no if the wrong form was filed. On Monday the father enrolled the child in school. What can she do? Shouldn't he be charged with kidnapping or something? He does not have custody of the child and is refusing to give him back. Please give us an idea of what to do.
