I am POA for my mother in Ill.I recently was told by the SS office that the nursing home where she lives has taken over as her POA for her finaces. They are also accepting her checks from her bank account for their payment. They are sending me bills too.I was advised by my attorney I am not responsible for her bills. How can I go about telling them not to bother me anymore since they ahve already taken her finaces..I was told to write them a letter but I don't whereto begin.
Can you help?
