I am currently facing criminal charges for harming my son. I'm NOT proud of what I did, but I'm now undergoing treatment for previously undiagnosed clinical depression.
The local media published my son's name in their news story about the charges against me. Someone told us that since my son was a victim, his identity can be revealed. I thought it was illegal to reveal the identity of a minor, be they the victim or the accussed.

Can the media reveal my son's identity? Can I sue them for doing this?

You've GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!! You hurt your son and now you want to sue?!?!?!? Talk about capitalizing on a terrible thing and making it worse!!!! I really feel bad for your son.
