My husband and I are divorcing and since we don't agree on separation date there are questions concerning what is marital property. This is no legal separation, (in Pennsylvania there is no such thing), my husbands date is 9/98 and my separation date is 11/99. My husband was given 4 sets of stock options that he signed in 1996. Three of the options became available in 1997 and the last option was available in 1998. My question is.... are stock options generally decided on when they were granted (1996) or when they become vested (1998)?
