| My husband left me and has no intention of getting a divorce or ever coming back. I don't really care about the divorce either, but am I entitled to any of his social security check? He is 69 and I am 53. I do work but only make $350. a wk. There are no children living home. |

If nothing else, while you are married, you are entitled by law to support, and he has a duty, by law, to pay it. He can't just merely walk away from you without consequences. Go to the Social Security office and get your spouse's share of the Benefits due to you. However, you may wind up having to file a Petition for Legal Separation and Orders for Support. In some States, that's a requirement. Good luck to you.
