We just moved to a small town in Wisconsin,my daughter ran away from home and was picked up in the city we moved from. She was handcuffed and arrested, shes now home and working, and doing well. She has a social worker, however since she returned to this school she has been getting detentions for things like dropping a piece of paper on the floor, saying things to her friends in lunch,or hallways between classes, the school had her arrested because she was ill one day and wanted to call home and they wouldn't allow that,so she got alittle mouthie, however never used no bad language. She was just kicked out of this school for 3 days for swearing, she had a hall pass and was stopped by the school superintendent,he decided that the pass was no good and she belonged in class. She got upset with him and said this school is full of sh##. So he kicked her out,he also said that someone told him that she said something bad about him so he gave her a ticket for $150,plus community service.I asked about home schooling he refuses to go along with that. He now is watching her non stop and waiting for her to mess up so he can kick her out for the rest of this year and next year. She is not the only student that gets treated like this.Myself and other parents have tired to talk to the school about the rules there and have gotten nowhere. They run this school like a prison and make theses kids feel like prisoners.Any help or information that might help would be great. Also anything about my rights to home teach my children.Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I am going through something similar but not as bad as far as your child behaves. There is always three sides to every story in my opinion. In this case your daughter, the school and the truth. Your daughter needs to be careful how she conducts herself regardless of situation(s). If this indeed is happening to other students do what I do take notes and document everything, it will come in handy later should the need arise. As far as the home schooling goes check out Home Schooling "rules and regulations" on the net. For me, all I have to do is notify the super of the school district two weeks in advanced and register so that no one can through me in jail for truency. By the way its to my understanding that the only one that can file those charges of truency would be the super of your daughter's school district NOT the principal or other staff member but verify that statement first. Be careful of "teflon" the situation.
