| I am intitled to social security benefits from my x-husband, as I was a homemaker during our marriage. My question is: He is planning to remarry prior to his retirement. Will I no longer be entitled to his benefits? I have no plans to remarry. Any input is appreciated. |

| As far as I can remember you are entitled to your ex's social security benefits even if he remarries, if: - you were married for more than 10 yrs. - you are 62 yrs. or older - you are not remarried or living with someone else. This does not affect the amount of benefits your ex will receive or his next wife. If you do a search on the internet concerning this you probably will find a source. Hope this helps. |
