Ok! I guess I will re-ask my question then.

My ex-girlfriend and myself are going to have my lawyer write up an agreement for my visitation. We will both sign these papers, once these are signed are these legal, court ordered papers? Also, how long after they are signed do the visits start?

Yes, they are Legal. And visitation should start immedialtely.

Now, to further assist you, did you divide up all Holidays, and school holidays? Summer vacations, fifth weekends? CP should allow NCP to have all fifth weekends since they aren't a set weekend in specific months. Oh nad also state that you and she will not take the child out of state with out the prior permission of the other parent in writing.

Even if you are getting along right now, things may go from good to bad and you both wwant to protect your child and your interests in being a part of the child's life.

No, they are no legally binding until the papers are presented to a judge and he signs them. A judge can still reject the agreement if they feel someone is getting screwed or something is not right.

The judge will sign them too after we both sign them. I will have every other weekend from fri@ 6 to sun@ 6. Also, rotating holidays, five weeks in the summer, additional six days at christmas time and christmas eve. It's very fair and we both added a couple of extra's into this. Like, I will have full access to her school and medical records, will help pay part of college, if i am working or sick another familly member can pick up and drop off, i cannot sign child out of school without her permission unless it is an emergency. things like that. She seems happy with it and dosent want to go to court so my lawyer is drawing up the papers today. She is going in to sign them tomorrow so if the court signs them by Monday should stage one start next week?

ok-this computer does not like me! ill post my reply again=)
The judge will sign them after she and i sign them. She is going in tomorrow to sign them and I will go in after her and sign them then they get sent to the court.
It is a very reasonable plan of alternating weekends from friday @6 to Sunday @6, alternating holidays, five weeks in the summer with her having alternate weekends, i get eight hours on Christmas eve and fathers day and an additional six days around christmas time. We also added in some stipulations that are reasonable to both of us such as: i have access to all medical and school records, she and i will both help the child pay for college, i cannot release her from school without her permission unless there is an emergency, we will alternate claiming her on income taxes,if i am working or sick another family member may pick her up and drop her off, things like that. These were agreed on by the both of us. Is this a reasonable plan?
