| Is there a time limit after you are divorced to file a Motion to Modify Custody, because of a substantial change? Is there a waiting period? Do you have to wait two years? Any help would be appreciated! Than kanyone who replies so much!! |

| If there has been substantial changes, you can file anytime. For example, if the custodial parent gets arrented for running a drug and whore house at the location where the child is, then you do not have to wait two years |

| If there is no whore house do I have to wait two years? He has burned her with cigarettes and well very long story, I would be typing all day! |

| If there is abuse, and you can prove it, then you can and SHOULD act now. You can even involve social services and probably the police.. but do not hold me to the last bit of this... |

| We went to court and i filed a motion to modify and a tempo restraining order. Went to court yesterday and he had a lawyer, which i did not. In his final statement his lawyer said something about there having to be a two year waiting period. |

| If that child is in any danger you can file a modifying motion at any time. Please, get an attorney and go to court. Or, get the police involved for the sake of your child. |
