| My childs father and myself are not married. He lives in kansas and myself and the baby live in ohio. The baby is 1 1/2. we have never gone to court for custody or visitation. The baby lives with me and i have raised her from birth(I don't know if that matters). He wants the baby to visit him alone, with out me being there. Do i have the right to make him come to ohio home to visit the baby ? Are there any laws that prohibit/protect her from traveling out of state for visitation till a certain age? |

| You two should draw up a custody/visitation agreement setting forth when he gets to see her, how she travels, and who pays for it. It seems unreasonable for him to expect you to put the kid on a plane in the care of some stewardess. Which one of you moved out of state? Also, you shoudl set child support. Check Ohio laws to see what child support amounts are required by law. Tracey ------------------ This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws. |
