Question

Does holiday visitation supercede normal/regular visitation? Is it state specific? If I am to have my son over a specific holiday period, yet ex normally has visitation on one of those days, does it get it during the holiday too? He has specific physical custody for holiday periods, I cannot take my normal days during his holidays.

I am in Michigan, and holidays supercede normal visitation. For example, if it is my weekend for a visit, but my ex's scheduled holiday, he takes the visitation. I don't like it, and he's always trying to take my normal visitation away from me when he loses our son to me on one of MY holidays...he says he should get to "make up" the time he lost, but it doesn't work that way. You have to watch those ex's, they'll try anything!! Good luck to you. If you would like to respond, my email is tpudvay@aol.com
