| I am the custotial parent of my 2 children. My ex hub moved about 50 miles away when he remarried. He now wants me to do half of the traveling on his visitation weekends. Is this my responisibility legally or otherwise? |

| No way! usually it is in the papers that the non custodial parent is responsible for transportation to and from visits. That is how it states in our papers our lawyer gave us for what our court typically gives as a minimum agreement. Our problem is we don't think the mom will let anyone other than dad pick up baby and there is times he wont make it from work within 30 miniutes of start time. Then that visit is forfitted. He works late and we dont want to miss whole weekends because he cant get away from work. Hope they make so someone else is also permitted to transport baby if dad is working. Or we will have to miss alot of visits.=( |

| Who was responsible for the driving before he moved? Normally, the moving parent is responsible for the traveling costs if it went to court. So pretty much, No..You shouldn't have to meet half way unless you want to. Especially if he was doing the transporting before he moved. Let him know since you weren't the one that moved, that it is his responsibility.
