Our daughter was moved to another state ( 8 hours away) with one week notice to us. We were not able to afford legal help in that amount of time. We did go to the courts and they said since our parenting plan had not been followed it was null & void. We were getting our daughter more than what the parenting plan had stated. Since our daughter has moved we did re write the parenting plan and both parties have signed it. We have our daughter during the summer and she has brought some things to our attention that worried us such as spankings with belts, and other paddles. Also she is scared that her older siblings are going to kill her when they grow up. These are just some of the things we have been told and feel we need to take action to make sure she is Healthy, Happy and SAFE! We do not have a lawyer nor do we have a lot of money to spend for one. But we do have a stable happy home with two other children any advice or contact info would be great. Also our parenting plan is in Washington State our daughter lives in Montana do we have to get a lawyer in Montana or can we here in Washington? We would like to know what the laws are for the state of Montana such as child abuse and drinking and driving. |
