I would like to know how they judge how much child support a parent pays and what do they do if the other parent has gotten remarried and has a new child, Will that take away from my children. I am being threated that by him and he said that if they make him pay being we have joint custody he will just come and take the children. Even thought it has been almost 8 months since he has had contact with them and wants nothing to do with them and he told them that in his own words, The children were broken hearted, as was I, I just reassured them that I loved them and that I would always be here for them. They are my world. I am at this time tired up in the court system with the battle of getting child support.

Even though he has "joint" custody that does not mean that he can come and "take" the children. Do you guys have court documents? Who has "physical" custody? If you do, then the only time "he" can take them is on his "court ordered" visitation. From my experiences, child support is based on both of the parents income, and other children *does* have some effect on the support, but not alot. Good luck!
