So it is showing right now. My girlfriend called her job and was called back by a administrator and told she could have the day off. She was called back a hour later and told she had to come in., because she would be under hours to retain her benefits according to the boss. The handbook States that if a employee is told not to come or to leave early it would not count against the rule of being under hours., since she was told to. This isn't the first time, there are times that employees were told to leave early and it counted against them.
The boss is now basically threatening her now with losing her benefits if she doesn't come in. Is this harassment. Is the change of handbook rules at the bosses will against the law?
