Out of Gas

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

I recently exhausted my New Jersey unemployment benefits and my (EB) benefits.I am out of work like a lot of people. What is the likelihood that Congress will step on the gas and pass another extension? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Who can say, but if I were you, I wouldn't be hoping on something that may never come about. You need to step on the gas and find employment.

Let's see, about two weeks ago a poster from CA informed me he/she knew FOR SURE that the bill was passed, that it was going down that day, and that people would be able to start getting it very soon. That's a great chrystal ball, huh? Basically we on this forum were dolts if we didn't know this.
Wonder how much this person has received yet?

When the bill is passed by both houses (IF) the bill is passed, it will be passed along to the states where it is going to be (last I heard this was only those with certain level of unemployment rate) Then it will take some time to set it up and begin to notify and administer it.

So sadly, I'd not look for anything more on extensions for a couple of months, best case scenario. If it is not possible to find a good regular job like you lost, if it is possible to find a seasonal job, this would be your very best alternative, because if you were laid off after the holidays, you'd qualify for a whole 'nother round of unemployment benefits.
