OP I don't understand why you can't remember your job search. I was on a job search four years ago and while I didn't keep formal records of my search, if I was asked to produce information not about my job search contacts, I could, within about 20-30 minutes of serious digging (through calendars, email accounts, etc).

Also OP were you receiving benefits while you were hospitalized? If so, you shouldn't have been. Maybe the UI people got wind of your hospitalization and that's why they're auditing you now?
