What is the name of your state?NC
I was notified today that i would be able to receive unemployment benefits from previous employer. When i filed for unemployment employer was given 15 business days to respond and they did not, so main office made the decision to pay. Now, i was told that employer now has the chance to dispute, that they have 10 more days, from the date of approval, and if they decline i could be responsible for paying back monies i received from uneployment. Is this correct, can they still dispute it and can they make me pay it back?

Your employer has the right to appeal the decision to grant you benefits, just as you would have had the right to appeal if the decision had gone against you.

Yes, IF the decision is overturned, the state can require you to pay what you have received back.
