What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio
Brief explaining of my situation. I was recently fired and it was deemed to be without just cause so ui initial was allowed. I applied for unemployment 02/02/13 but have not filed until Friday because I was expecting to have a job by now and I did not want to be on unemployment in the first place if I could avoid it. What made me concerned is that the status of payment is listed as "pay held" on all 4 claims.
In the first week of being unemployed I contacted at least 10 employee's and have been following up with them with interviews etc. The first week I claimed benefits the dates and times are correct, but stupid me I put in contacts from first week with incorrect dates for the following three weeks of benefits. I know it's technically wrong but it's not like I haven't been trying to get a job and the total of people I've contacted averages over 2 per week. I haven't received any pay yet and I know it's the right thing to contact their office to let them know what happened and will be doing that tomorrow morning. http://www.odjfs.state.oh.us/forms/file.asp?id=3430&type=application/pdf
Am I going to be in some trouble and not be able to get benefits in the future because of this?
Thank you for your thoughts.
