Grandparents rights

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in florida. At present for the last year my grandchild has been in dss SC as the mother moved from GA to Sc and had no sufficient home for the child. I have tried to be able to care for him since october of 2008 with mom and dad asking for me to be the one to care for him instead of foster care.
They did a homestudy in Ga where I had lived and denied me as they said I said my son should see his child. They lied and said my husband said this also, yet they never spoke with him or finished the homestudy. No one will say this in court and they are planning to have him adopted out as I was the only family that could take him and care for him.
I moved to Florida as the guardian for my grandchild thought I might be able to get him here. But they will not do another homestudy as my home did not fail I and my husband who they never spoke with did!!!!!
I can not even speak in court, they will not let me in unless a parent is there. The parents said numerous times they can not care for him at present and would give me custody. This is not right.
Meantime they lie on reports and no one cares, and they don't put locks on there bathroom doors where children are being visited, and they don't use car seats for the children to come to the visit????? Go figure... It doesn't make sense that I have to lose my grandchild I want an opportunity to raise and love him as I always have. No reports ever happen, no bruises hurts???? Yet I can't have my grandchild??? Can anyone help?

Your best bet is to hope the parents grow up and fight for their own child. If you have been denied then I dont see you standing a chance. Im sorry I dont believe that they lied. I know that Child services would much rather place children with family than in fostor care.

They did lie as they said they finished the homestudy, never did. And said they spoke to my husband and part of the denial includes him and them talking to them.
They did not talk to him at all and never came to finish the homestudy. Just so you know what I was saying.

Have a good day!
