Grandparents Visitation

Whny(only U.S. law)? I live in Ny and my Grandson lives in Pa he is 2 1/2 years old and I only saw him one time. The mother told me she would keep in touch but has failed to do so. I have called and left messages and e-mailed her. I have been trying to reach her for 2 years. I will not make a 31/2 hr drive on a whim and no one be home. The mother and Father (my son) are not together. What rights do I have if any. All I want is to know my grandson. Dad is not in the picture.

Where is dad? Has he been legally established as dad? Why doesn't he have parenting time?

you have the right to visit the child on dad's time. mom is under no obligation to allow you to see her child on her time.

You have no inherent rights. You need to see the child on dad's time.

It leaves you to tell your son to get off his butt and establish his rights.

ROTFLMAO!! You might wanna clarify the "can" part. All I can picture is people scratching their heads and going "Why do they wanna know if he's in the bathroom?"

I hope so too, but I was thinking more of the youngsters in years to come who might actually use the Search button!
