What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
grandparents have no inherit rights to their grandchildren. they only thing they can and should do is make nice with mom and dad( and that includes keeping your nose out of their business, such as telling them how to raise their grandchildren, etc)What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Another "cut & paste" with a little sting from dannyt.grandparents have no inherit rights to their grandchildren. they only thing they can and should do is make nice with mom and dad( and that includes keeping your nose out of their business, such as telling them how to raise their grandchildren, etc)
In 2010 Oregon state Provided grandparents with certain rights whether you are seeking custody or visitation. Petition the courts for visitation rights and in the mean time check out this site on Oregon state Laws on grandparent laws:

Obviously, more details are needed. And really - you're going to just go ahead and TELL a poster to petition for visitation without knowing ANYTHING at all?

Who are you in OP's thread?Obviously, more details are needed.
1. Are the parents married or divorced? Both parents were/is in prison (mom 2yrs & dad7yrs-dad get home next year)
2. If they are divorced or separated, what is the custodial situation?(married in prison –now estranged-separated, no custody agreements made )
3. What role have you had in the kids' lives? (Raised the 2-1/2yrold boy till 6yrs in grandparents home, daughter went back to drinking)
4. What are the ages of the kids?( was 2-1/2 now is 7yrs old bagging to live back with grandparents)
5. Are there any legal matters that could affect it (arrests of either grandparent, etc)? ( no arrest, daughter may have claimed emotional or physical abuse against father)
6. How far apart are the grandparents from the kids?(same town)
7. Are the parents refusing to allow contact?(yes, daughter)
8. Why are the parents refusing to allow contact?( we, grandparents report her to CSD and she ran w/ him)
9. What is parent’s emotional state? Daughter is socialpathic, dad appears to have learned lesson.
10. How wealthy are clients? Low income ( legal aid would not take case-not a priority)
PS. CSD and PO office continue to look other way with daughter having multiple warranties for no-show on PO office and new arrests. CSD is doing what PO office say to do??? Its crazy and no legal help.
