A lost child


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

I would like to know what forms can be used for custody transfer from my daughter to me regarding my grandaughter they reside in Maryland

What if the father of the child was never named, notified, or known, or provided rights by the court.??? What if mother didnt know who it was, or it was so long ago, you wouldnt know how to start to look for him. ??

Would custody stay with the mother until a father can be identified and notified?

Just a diffrent question for the same question.

Mom is expected to make a diligent effort to find and notify the father - even if it means filing a "John Doe" notice via publication.

But we need to know exactly what's going on in OP's situation.
