First, it's not tricky to figure out residency when all the facts are known.
Second, whether or not she has informed the not-the-legal-father about her whereabouts is irrelevant.
Not tricky with all the facts known, but tricky if the alleged father wants to file (or is coerced into filing by his mommy) to establish himself as legal father.
Jurisdiction issues aren't difficult to understand, but OP put the case in KY when her son may very well need to try to establish paternity in IL.
And yes, I signed up today after months of lurking, because I noticed the 3 states and that nobody else had pointed it out. If alleged father wanted to establish paternity, for whatever reason, he should be aware of it.
For the record, I am very much against court ordered grandparent visitation rights. I have my own set of crazy, entitled ILs that have tried everything, but can't file because they don't have standing. It has kept me from moving to a neighboring state.
