step grandparentsWhat is the name of your state? Minnesota I was married, since divorced. Have a daughter(not my ex's child, he never adopted her either). My daughter has 3 children. He says he's the kids grandfather and therfore has visitation rights. Is this true? She(my daughter) never considered him her "father" and does not consider him her kids "grandfather". She doesn't want him in her or her kids life! Does he have rights conserning visitation of the kids? What is the name of your state? |

| Unless a court orders visitation, the guy has no rights. G parents (blood) usually have no inherent visitation rights anyway. A court could order visitation upon the prior relationship but it isn;t very common due to the fact it removes the parental contol. Tell the guy to go to court and sue for visitation if he wants it so bad. If the court gives it to him (very very unlikey), then deal with that. Other than that, tell him to get bent. |

| Not only does he not have inherent rights, he also has no standing to sue as he is not the blood father or adoptive father of the mother.
