I would guess it is attached to a 15 year old duck.'

Angry

This past Friday I got a $330 bill that was broken down with three dates.
$25 due from 1994, $225 from 1999 and $75 from 2002. These dates are all before I was married and they all had my married name as the patient. The first and last dates said emergency, and the second said outpatient. I do believe I was going through some medical difficulties at the time, but have cleared up all of my past expenses when I purchased my home, and then again when I needed to file bankruptcy. I have never recieved a bill for any of these three charges. The bill didn't even say what the visit was remotely for. 15 years ago, $25 dollars, how am I even supposed to challenge that I paid for that. I just want to know if there is any statute of limitations that hospitals have for sending out medical bills? The internet is very sketchy on Michigan to be specif. I want to send them a letter that I want all of my medical records and signatures, but if there is a statute of limitations, I will write them on that.
Please help??

I presume this is not a judgment they are attempting to collect on. If correct, the statute of limitations in Michigan is 6 years for contracts so the SoL would have long since run on them.

I would simply send a letter telling them that even if the debts were valid (which you are not confirming), the SoL has long since run. As such, this is a cease and desist demand and expect no further contact.

I would also check your credit report. A debt can only be reported for up to 7 1/2 years from the original default. If any except the last one shows on your your CR, you can demand it be removed and depending on the last debt went into default, maybe that one as well.
